Jonathan McDonald is the Director of EMC Greenplum's Federal Division. Greenplum, a Division of EMC, is driving the future of Big Data analytics with breakthrough solutions that harness the skills of data science teams and capabilities of leading-edge technologies to help global organizations become data-driven, predictive enterprises. The division's products include Greenplum Unified Analytics Platform, Greenplum Data Computing Appliance, Greenplum Analytics Lab, Greenplum Database, Greenplum HD, Greenplum MR and Greenplum Chorus. They embody the power of open systems, cloud computing, virtualization and social collaboration—enabling global organizations to gain greater insight and value from their data than ever before possible.

Jonathan is responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, sales, business development, partnerships and program execution for Greenplum's Federal business. His experience in managing risk management, entity resolution, master data management and big data analytics programs across the public sector is crucial as Greenplum partners closely with the Federal government to solve critical mission challenges that require big data analytic solutions and insights.

He has more than eighteen years of experience in the U.S. Public Sector, four years as a U.S. Marine and thirteen years managing complex multi-million dollar programs for various U.S. Public Sector agencies. He has extensive sales and operations experience building and managing successful teams for various product and services organizations including Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies. He has also actively participated in and served on the board of directors for various non-profit organizations.

Jonathan holds an M.B.A. and B.S. In Management Science & Statistics (Cum Laude) from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at College Park, University of Maryland. His hobbies include mixed martial arts, piano, golf and website development. He currently resides in Gaithersburg, MD.
