Lance Wysong

Lance Wysong is a Senior vSpecialist for EMC Corporation focusing on Virtualization, Storage and Tier 1 Applications in the U.S. Federal Government and Department of Defense Sectors.

Prior to joining EMC, Lance worked for 1 1/2 years at a prominent VMWare consulting firm in the Midwest. He worked on numerous VMware projects for Fortune 500 companies focused on virtualizing datacenters and cloud enabling technologies. Prior to that, Lance worked at a Financial Trading company in downtown Chicago as a Senior Systems/Storage Engineer for 4 years, where he managed their entire virtual and storage infrastructure. In the earlier years of his career he also worked at a Law Firm, as well as managed his own IT consulting firm in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Lance is a retired U.S. Navy veteran, with 20 years of service. He spent much time overseas, including 2 tours at the NATO command in Naples, Italy. During this time he was deployed to Bosnia for Operation IFOR. He is the recipient of the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, NATO Medal and many others. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

Lance holds a Bachelor of Science in IT Business Administration from Colorado Technical University.
