Transforming Government IT
Lynn Marquedant

Lynn Marquedant is the National State & Local Government and Education (SLED) Marketing Manager at EMC Corporation.

In this role, Ms. Marquedant speaks with public sector personnel from all segments, including State, County and City Government, Higher Education, and K-12. She meets with public sector industry analysts regularly to discuss market drivers and current issues. Ms. Marquedant believes that eventually every citizen on the planet will interact with each other and public sector entities thru online technology. The proliferation of mobile devices and cloud service offerings all but guarantees it. Given this, Ms. Marquedant has become an advocate for social media across the Public Sector Community, to foster dialogue about how the industry and Public Sector IT should respond to this market disruption.

“EMC employs some of the most intelligent and creative people on the planet. It’s my job to help link these information-savvy professionals with our most forward-thinking public sector clients,” reports Ms. Marquedant. “Together we can empower cities, towns, counties, and entire states with creative IT service offerings.”

Prior to her current public sector marketing role, Ms. Marquedant was an Engagement Manager for Northrop Grumman at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Director of Partner Marketing at Storage Networks; and she’s served in strategic, competitive, product and technical marketing roles at EMC, BGS Systems and HP.

Ms. Marquedant earned her MBA degree from Babson College; Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from The University of Vermont; and has an EMC Proven Professional Associate certification. She’s active on the NASCIO Awards Committee and is a 2012 GovMark Council honoree for her work in Digital Government Marketing Programs.
